Different medical schools in the UK require different tests to be taken – the UCAT or BMAT. Based on the universities you wish to apply to, you may accordingly have to take one or more of these tests. Therefore, it is important that you decide on your target universities beforehand so that you are mentally prepared to take these tests earlier in the test cycle, if possible.
Make sure that you consult a professional before finalizing the tests you plan to take so that you roughly have an idea of which universities you are planning to apply to, which ones require certain marks on these tests, and how close you are to the university’s expectations (based on your diagnostic test), and which ones you have a good chance of getting into.
